Human basic needs are Food, Shelter and Clothing. Food is the most important at all. Now a days, suffering or die of food deprivation is currently exist from the “third world country”
The mud cookies made of dirt, salt and vegetable shortening have become a regular meal where rich in calcium and an effective antacid.
Haiti “Haitians”, belong to third world country. Because of poverty and rising of basic amenities, one of the district city marked by poverty and inferior living conditions, mud has become a daily staple.
Opinion of the health personnel are mixed based on health effects. There are deadly parasites and toxins contained by dirt. According to Haitian doctors, risks of malnutrition depend upon on the cookies for sustenance.
Dr. Gabriel Thimothee, He's an executive director of Haiti's health ministry said that if he saw Haiti eating those cookies he will discourage it.
It’s a basic human instinct to search for food in order to survive. As what the saying goes “survival to the fittest” and one way that they think to survive is to eat mud cookies.
